FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Can I collect my Goldfish from you?
    Yes! Just get in touch with us on social media/email at sales@pingpongpearlscales.com to find out more and arrange collection. We are availble for pre-arranged collection between 11am-4pm on weekdays only.
  • When will my Goldfish be delivered?
    Our deliveries are made on Tuesday - Friday weekdays. At check-out you will select a preferred delivery date. This will be a Tuesday - Friday weekday within 10 days of your purchase. We will contact you via email to confirm your delivery date after purchase.
  • How much does delivery cost?
    We charge £30 shipping for each order, collection is free.
  • Can I contact you for information/knowledge about my own Goldfish?
    Absolutely! We love to be contacted with questions and strive to give informative advice to all Goldfish enthusiasts. Contact us at sales@pingpongpearlscales.com or on Facebook or Instagram (Ping Pong Pearlscales).
  • Do you ship Goldfish worldwide?
    We don't offer worldwide shipping, this requires facilities we don't have in place yet. At present we ship to 'Mainland UK' only.
  • Do your delivery options change on Bank Holidays?
    Yes. On weeks that start with a Bank Holiday Monday, deliveries will start from the Wednesday rather than the Tuesday.
  • Where do your Goldfish come from?
    Our unique 'Ping Pong Pearlscales' Goldfish are affectionately bred by us in Bristol, UK. We also supply a wider range of exquisite Fancy Goldfish for you to choose from. These are meticulously selected from other Fancy Goldfish breeders, stores and importers enabling us to provide you with incredible ornamental Goldfish species that are difficult to source. Imported Goldfish will have the country of origin in the description on the product page.
  • Can you hold my Goldfish after purchase?
    We are unable to hold Goldfish for longer than 10 days after the purchase date, delivery must be booked for a date within 10 days of purchase. This allows us to have vital tank space for the next beautiful Goldfish.
  • Can I reschedule my Goldfish delivery?
    Absolutely, Goldfish deliveries can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before our trusted courier collection date. Please let us know rescheduling plans within sociable hours to ensure we can make amendments before the 24 hour period. It is also possible to reschedule within the 24 period but this will incur a £30 fee to cover the courier costs.
  • How do you know the sex of the fish?
    We inspect each Goldfish, looking at vents, breeding stars and breeding behaviour. However, despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee the sex of the fish with 100% certainty.
  • How does the 'Goldfish Drop' system work?
    We release our groups of available Goldfish on Fridays at 6pm. Each drop will always be well advertised beforehand. It is a first come, first serve system with no reserve options. We have found this to be the fairest way to ensure that both new and experienced members of the Fancy Goldfish community have an equal chance of getting their favourite high-quality Fancy Goldfish.
